When you register for an Aerograde account, we collect:

When you submit a flight review, we collect the information you provide, including:

Aircraft registration
Airline name and aircraft type
Flight number and flight date
Departure and arrival airports or cities
Seat number (optional)
Travel class (Economy, Premium Economy, Business, or First Class)
Written review content
Overall star rating and per-category ratings (Seat Comfort, Cleanliness, Crew Service, Legroom, Entertainment, Food, Boarding, Cabin Condition)

C. Usage Data

We may automatically collect technical data when you use Aerograde, such as:

Search queries entered into the platform
Pages visited and interactions with the interface
Device type, browser type, and operating system
General geographic region (derived from IP address, not precise location)
IP address: captured when you sign in and stored on your account for security, abuse prevention, and administrative oversight; also stored with contact form submissions for rate limiting

How We Use Your Data

Display aircraft, airline, and aircraft-type reviews to all users
Calculate and display average ratings per aircraft registration, airline, and aircraft type
Provide and improve the aircraft search functionality
Moderate submitted content using automated AI systems and human review

Review Visibility

All reviews that pass moderation are publicly visible on Aerograde without restriction. A published review may appear on:

The page for the specific aircraft registration it was submitted for
Aggregate airline-level review pages
Aircraft type-level pages

Your display name (username) will appear alongside your review. Your email address is never displayed publicly.

Data Moderation & AI Processing

Aerograde uses automated systems, including AI language models, to assist in content moderation. These systems are used to:

Detect inappropriate, abusive, or policy-violating content
Filter hate speech, threats, or harassment
Flag reviews containing serious unverified allegations for manual human review
Ensure reviews remain focused on genuine, first-hand flight experiences

AI moderation systems assist human reviewers and do not make final legal decisions. All flagged content is subject to human oversight before any account action is taken.

Data Sharing

Aerograde does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:

To comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable government requests
To respond to lawful requests from public authorities, including national security or law enforcement
